Whiteley 8.5" Classic British Kitchen

Length: 8.5”

These are true classics. Canada's Globe and Mail says "they cut like a dream and handle like a Formula 1 racer." The Whiteley British Kitchen Scissors will quickly become the first tool your chef reaches for. They have offset handles as opposed to straight, which is more comfortable for many, as it positions the thumb in a more natural spot for added ergonomic control. Whiteley includes a micro-serrated edge for extra grip, as well as curved blades for added strength.

  • Hot-forged, polished stainless steel
  • Micro-serration for maximum grip
  • Offset handles for comfort
  • Curved blades offer greater control
  • Dishwasher-friendly

  • When you are tired of cutting through bones and snipping fresh herbs, you can put this hot-forged stainless-steel pair to work opening tins and bottles or cracking nuts and lobster shells. While some scissor craftspeople urge users to wash by hand, Whiteley promises these classics are 100% dishwasher-friendly.

I was influenced to by these scissors due to the Chiseler add regarding having scissors as sharp as knives. They indeed are sharp and sturdy. My only critique
has to do with the handle which feels a little "thin" and uncomfortable when applying pressure. In fact, my wife will not use them. Note: she's left handed.
