Alpen 6" Perfect Lefty Office Scissors - Ciselier Exclusive

Length: 6”

Solid, elegant, versatile and so very left-handed. Feel how finely-crafted scissors are supposed to work when they are built for lefties. These general-purpose home and office “true left” scissors are made from high-strength C50 nickel-plated carbon steel and have a polished mirror finish. True left-handed scissors are carefully manufactured to not only get the reverse grip and balance correct, but provide a mirror of right-handed scissor blades so your sightline is not obscured while cutting.

  • High-strength C50 carbon steel
  • Blade edge ground for use with paper
  • Nickel-plated
  • Hand-polished

Please note: if you are a lefty who has learned to use right-handed scissors, you may find “true left” difficult to get used to initially. This is normal!

🇮🇹 About Alpen Premana
Alpen is a family-run manufacturer in Premana, an Italian village in Lecco that is a centuries-old centre of heritage cutlery and blades. Brothers Mauro and Pietro Gianola are the second generation to run this business, founded in 1964 during a period of explosive growth that saw Premana emerge as one of the world’s premier scissor-making regions. Alpen’s superior quality, brilliant designs and commitment to traditional craftsmanship have recently attracted growing recognition outside of Italy.

With the exception of Alpen's Schoolhouse Lefties, every pair of Ciselier scissors is shipped in a stunning custom-designed Presentation Box containing information about the manufacturer you are supporting. Our packaging is both durable and beautiful – just like our scissors.

Sticky Situation.

Could you please let me how to "unstick" the blades? Love the scissors, but I need to make the scissors easy to use

Hi Stanley! What you are describing is a challenge that lefties who are used to right-handed scissors often experience with 'true left' scissors (which are a mirror image of right-handed). The issue is not the scissors, but rather the cutting motion that lefties forced to use the wrong scissors adopt (pulling the blades apart rather than pushing them together). We detail this challenge in our blog post on the topic 'The Trouble with Left-Handed Scissors', and often recommend (as noted in the product description above) that lefties consider 'semi-left-handed' scissors first (which are righties with bows designed for the left hand). Nevertheless, practice makes perfect and we are sure you will become accustomed to your fabulous scissors. Thanks again for your support!
