Embroidery scissors have evolved into a high art form, treasured for centuries for their use in delicate embroidery and fine needlework and are very popular with collectors.

🇮🇹 About Alpen Premana
Alpen is a family-run manufacturer in Premana, an Italian village in Lecco that is a centuries-old centre of heritage cutlery and blades. Brothers Mauro and Pietro Gianola are the second generation to run this business, founded in 1964 during a period of explosive growth that saw Premana emerge as one of the world’s premier scissor-making regions. Alpen’s superior quality, brilliant designs and commitment to traditional craftsmanship have recently attracted growing recognition outside of Italy.

With the exception of Alpen's Schoolhouse Lefties, every pair of Ciselier scissors is shipped in a stunning custom-designed Presentation Box containing information about the manufacturer you are supporting. Our packaging is both durable and beautiful – just like our scissors.

Life long embroidery scissors

I have always wanted these scissors and finally bought them - for a friend. When I found she already had a pair I happily bought them back form her and now my life is complete!

Wonderful!

These scissors add a bit of whimsy to the task at hand. I've given them as gifts to a few lucky people who love them as much as I do!

Beautiful

I purchased these scissors in Switzerland 25 years ago, and when airports first began to examine carry-on baggage, they took away my Ciselier scissors (which I always carried in my needlepoint bag) at the Santa Barbara Airport which I always carried in my needlepoint bag. I've grieved the loss of those scissors up to now.
